I know this has been talked about in several other threads and for 7+ years now about most of the 1st gens with the front end clunks over bumps. I recently just purchased a 2014 with 34,000 miles on it it also has this noise. I have started this new thread to see what everybody has done since 2010 to correct the situation. If you have had the noise and have corrected it please lets us know what you did to correct it. Has anyone been able to get their hands on a set of chassis ears to pin point the noise? I found when I was a Ford tech that's was a great tool to locate suspension noises I have tried re-torquing the lca bolts to 425 foot pounds. And he even have gone to 500 with no change. And I think if it was that issue I would see wear marks on the control arm behind the nut.? I have also seen people in the other form ask about CV axle which also mine has play I have watched it with a block to keep it from moving still have the same noise. So ruled out the cv axel. My next step is.. I think to send out the shocks for a rebuild. Has anyone had success with that?
