Has anyone had an Over Boost engine code? My truck engine lights came on and I lost power.

Took it to Ford and they said only thing pulling up on codes is the Over Boost Code. I have the Whipple Charger Reclabrated PCM. They state it’s boosting up to 21 psi. Does anyone know is that’s to much. I went with Whipple because they said it was the best one for the application. Said I t was the safest due to them not over progressively tuning the PCM.

Waiting to hear back from Ford and Whipple.

No issues with stock PCM. Will be purchasing new tuner from Whipple so I can clear the code if it pops up again once I reinstall the recalibrated PCM.

If you go to the P0235 Overboost link on this site there’s some great info from other members. You can also google the P0235 code and the discussion will come up.

5778FE02-F72A-47DE-A82E-ED59618E223B.jpeg Bad new, traded Mis Ruby in today. Been in the shop to much for me. Had overheating issues in traffic and had to pull off Freeway. Sad it was raining and 55 degree out. Heated up a couple time sitting in parking lot waiting in meetings.

Good news is I now have Mis Ruby ll. Pictured above.

People think I’m kidding when I say I really love my truck!

What I saw today, dealer is hitting 10k over sticker. A Raptor is still a gem!!!

I received 58k trade in for 12K miles for my 2017. Very impressed with 2018. To many issues with 2017 that will show up on Car Fax if I sale it 3-4 years down the line.

Replaced computer, overheating issues corrected at Dealer Service. Loved my 2017 but Happy with upgrade to 2018.

So Miss Ruby, what did you learn from your 2017 that you won't be doing to your 2018. How does the new stereo system sound. I am hoping it is better then the 2017 system????

I won’t put the S-Type cat back system on it.it was just a bit to loud. Borla had another system that was little quiter but I thing Ford snatched that system up for their retail Shop.

Not going to use Whipple product ever again. Paid to have them reprogram my pcm. After about a month it popped up P0235 Overboost Code. Dealership wouldn’t touch truck with the recalibrated pcm so end up buying new one.

Sent the one that Whipple programmed back to Whipple so they could clear the code and check it. Waited a few months to reinstall it to see if my truck would pop the P0235 code again and it was dead. Went to start the truck and nothing!!!! Whipple not willing to do anything. So I’m stuck with $900 pcm and a $700 tune that’s gone with the dead pcm. Loved the power and shifting from their program but don’t trust their technology.

Sorry off key but still stings a bit!

Will install my S&B cold air system, the bigger turbo flanges and an exhaust of some sort.

The 2018 stereo is incredible!!! Did not know they had changed them. Was a great surprise when I turned it on.

YES! That was pretty much the only change for 2018 model... The 2017 stereo system falls way short of the rest of the truck as far as quality! I am quite disappointed with it. However, I plan on buying a 2021 so I will wait until then. Keeping this one stock. The next one will have the best of the best and nothing more. Now I am jealous of your stereo system since I know mine sucks!

I’m liking quiter sound of stock over S-Type. Would do the Borla Tourung System but that’s only offered through Ford Performance for over 2k.

I do have the Flash Tiner from Whipple but afraid to download it. Tech support goes vacant after you buy and need tech support. 2 emails went unanswered from tech. Never returned phone call.

I will do the spd adapters and cold air. That an easy est 40 ho gain. Will wait until solid PCM flash program comes out.
