    Hi Guys,

Bought a brand new Raptor a couple weeks ago and noticed the tow hitch receiver looked off level. It was welded crooked to the hitch. I've looked at the multiple points of attachment for the entire hitch assembly and this is not correctable without all the other hitch assembly points, tow hooks, and bumper getting out of whack. I have an appointment with dealer and tried to find the assembly online with the part number listed on the hitch, but no luck. The part number on the sticker is: HL3A-19D534-DA

I'd really like the assembly replaced under warranty. What do you all think?

Here's another pic with both magnetic levels on both the hitch and receiver. The bubble on hitch is perfectly level and the receiver level shows bubble to its max right in sight glass. This is not good. The rear carrier I use for camping is ridiculously off level...no way I can correct it.

Hey Buddy we have the same truck. I just went outside and threw a level on mine. OMG! really bad. Then I just looked at it and can see it visually too. Mine is welded the same as yours. Look at the weld pattern. Mine starts off 1/8 inch bead on the left as welding to the right it grows to 1/4 inch. It was jigged up uneven. This was done at a factory! Thank god I do not tow. This is a big issue if your pulling a trailer.

Guy's those are welded by a machine I'm pretty sure..... I wonder when Ford going to recalibrate it..
There's gotta be more of those off center hitches out there......
Very dangerous for the ball latch receiver on the trailor !
    WTF !

Maybe sooner or later they will issue a recall ! Maybe

I am not surprised R2. The quality control people need help! As for towing, only Camel Toes!

I agree with you guys on both the safety issues as well as quality control. Lets face it, towing is a really big deal safety wise and one would think there's somebody in production inspecting the final product. Fortunately, the service dept. determined this was a "mis-weld" and ordered a new tow hitch bar/receiver. I go in tomorrow...hoping the replacement isn't a twin of the first. I'll let you guys know how it goes...

Great news! My dealer inspected the tow receiver and ordered a new one. It was replaced under warranty and they also adjusted the bumper and exhausts so all were in alignment. It appeared the rear end was hand assembled and the bumper, tow hooks, and exhaust tailpipes were not aligned with each other end to end and uneven with tailgate. It is perfect now and I'm pretty stoked.
