    Looking for my first Raptor.

New one is out of the question for now. Not willing to pay 10k over MSRP. Best I could find was 7k over.

So, looking at Used... differences between 2013 and 2014 are minimal right, mostly cosmetic?

I'm leaning heavily toward Carmax, mostly due to the warranty. Are their current prices reasonable/in line with the market? Obviously they'll make some money, but are their prices what you would pay personally?

Any other reason to go with 2014 over 2013 other than being a newer year? Should I be considering a 2011-2012? I def want the 6L

Also- how worried should I be picking one up with 70k+ miles on it? It's a bit unnatural for me to consider dropping 40k+ on a high mileage truck but all I've heard is they have been reliable.

It won't be a DD. Thanks for your input!

CarMax is a great place to buy a vehicle. About to pick up a Buick Enclave for my wife, personally I like them bc of the warranty but also bc hey will not sell you a car that has been involved in any kind of accident. Prices are straight forward but always do your own research. Personally I have a 2011 raptor with the 6.2 and it has been great aside from the 10.7 average mpg but it's a raptor so who cares about mpg right lol. Just hit 100k miles and although it didn't need it probably, I went through and replaced all belts, all fluids and filters, water pump, all hoses, spark plugs, installed me some granetelli wires and basically went all out on the preventative maintenance of the truck bc I also just paid it completely off:) i also just started having fun with it taking it to raptor runs and events such as those. Still have stock suspension so I don't do any hardcore stuff. This weekend I'll be at Texana Ranch with the rest of the TRR team.
Imo the condition of the truck and how it was treated by the previous owner is more important than the year. I'd say 2011 up is the way to go, no ofense to the earlier truck model owners but some 2010's still came with the 5.4 (no offense to those engine owners) Im just saying if you're looking for a raptor 2011 up has pretty much what you need. Differences in wheels and such don't matter much bc you'll prob end up changing the truck up like most people do with exception of some. I'd make sure you have the 6.2, Nav system, love my sunroof, love tuxedo black with leather black interior..ok so now I'm just describing my truck...lol
Good luck shopping and welcome to the raptor world!

    Good Morning:

We currently have a 2017 Ford Raptor SCrew with the 802A Pkg and Technology Package that just hit the ground today. We purchased this in a package, therefore, the Dealer owns it for over sticker - if you have any interest, it will sell for $5,000 over MSRP.
