Hello,

I have a 2013 Raptor and considering installing an Air Intake. Considering one of the below. Any advise on which one would be better? This Raptor is gently run, not in desert, not in dust, mud, etc.
Looking basically for a better way for engine to breathe, get some extra pony and hopefully gain some mpg...! Not crazy after the growl!

* Raptor 6.2L K&N 77 Series High Flow Performance Metal Air Intake
* Raptor 6.2L S&B Cold Air Intake Kit
* Raptor 6.2L AFE Stage 2 Cold Air Intake System - Pro Guard 7

I have the K&N CAI. Like it. Easy install. Looks good. Paper work that came with it had a sheet with dyno tests showing HP gain over stock system.

I'm in the "none of the above" crowd. I just don't think they actually produce any power over just getting a good high flow filter. And certainly not worth the $300-400.

I had the AFE and liked the sound. I didn’t use the lid witch made it a little louder. What exhaust do you have ?
Oem

AFE

Whipple

You might want to give Mike from 5 star a call and tell him what you’re looking for. A
cai-exhaust and good tune really wakes up the 6.2 and gives you better hp,mpg, sound, crisp shifting. Good luck let us know how it turns out.

Sounds exactly like what just a good tune will give you...

Bill - the exhaust is OEM - standard. Did not have much time to change much. Nice picture you have here. AFE and WHIPPLE look almost the same. I see you have the WHIPPLE installed now. But to get you to 700HP you did a lot more...than only an Air Intake.

Thank you all...

I started with the cai, exhaust and a good tune. After driving a supercharged Raptor I decided to go with the Whipple setup.

Yes the lid I referred to is the cover for the box you posted.

Have fun making your Raptor just the way you want it.

Had an afe and switched to a hennessey cai, it’s seems the hennessey is a little shorter and with a pedal commander REALLY woke my big girl up

im running the afe and my only real complaint is the couplers are thin and they cracked. i replaced them with re-enforce couplers. have u checked out the jlt intake? prob not going to notice a big difference between intakes on a stock engine without a tune. not saying they wont wake up the engine a little.
