My truck has been in the shop for 5 weeks (see Clicking Sound At Idle) and it looks like the next step is for Ford to repurchase the truck.

I still want a Raptor so I sure hope they have the ability to fast-track a build and won't simply give me $$. I'd rather not go back to square 1 (hoping a dealer has an allocation and waiting for 3-4 months).

Anybody has any experience with the process?

I Wish you good luck .
Never seen that done before but you would think Ford would rather give you a new Raptor than your money back !

    In a perfect world

We actually initiated the replacement process today... Good news is I will get to drive my current raptor (which is slated to be fixed on Thursday after almost 8 weeks in the shop - crossing fingers) until the new truck arrives. I don't have an ETA yet on the new one.

    Man...........

If that ever happens I'll buy you a beer or two thousand! You are dealing with a heartless evil corporate monster that couldn't give a shit about you or their reputation. Get too testy and you just might regret it son.

I would have rather not deal with all this (no truck for last 8 weeks) but yes, Ford is handling this well so far.

I care because if they send it to auction or resale it one of our raptor family members may buy it we should look out for each other my thoughts.

If I am not mistaken, in California at least where the truck is currently registered, the title will be marked "Lemon law Buyback".

I think looking out for some fellow buyer would be to steer them well clear of that truck. If you read what this guy has been through, I don't think I would suggest this truck to enter anyones life.
