So, after about 4-5 months of deep threads about the serious clunk issue, i think that i was under the impression all along that if i complained enough about this (just look at the number of pages of issues with 99% agreement that the clunk issue is a real big deal for folks) that someone at Ford would see these and take it to the top as a big deal.
How big of a deal? It threatens to ruin the reputation of the Raptor and i have never seen an issue like this with any other vehicle that i have had since i always join the forums. What other vehicles have i owned that are similar? Tundra, FJ Cruiser, Jeep Rubicon, Audi, BMW, Mini Cooper. There are always the outliers who threaten to take the vehicle back for some little thing, but there is 100% agreement on this issue. For the Crew Cab, everybody has it, or will get it. Not like a thing that might occur.
The BIG Misconception for ME is that i actually thought that discussing it here would get Ford to notice. I now realize that they could not possibly be monitoring these threads on the clunk? If so, you would have to be a moron if you were in product development and let this kind of thing go this long without explanation. I don't mean putting a generic TSB out, i mean actually admitting and giving a realistic timeframe without hiding it hoping it will go away.
The admittance of the problem is only available to those who take it in and complain. How could any company see threads like this and not respond with even a letter. The longer they ignore, the worse it gets.
Does anyone know where it should be sent so that someone at SVT or Ford reads these? I would be in panic mode if I worked for Ford and read these threads.
I guess i just don't believe that they could be reading this and not doing anything about it. If anyone has the contacts at Ford to send this too, lets copy these threads, make a PDF and send off to the appropriate parties. Its getting to the point where the damage control might not be able to be effective anymore no matter what they do if they know that this is being discussed by enthusiasts and nothing.
Yeah, i have seen all the TSBs about a known problem, but that info is not available to dealers or most customers. A bunch of people are not buying because of this. WTF? They are breeding mistrust. And i waited so long for my first Ford.
Who knows if Ford is listening? If they are, DO SOMETHING before its too late!!
