I can get a raptor for $500 over invoice. 5.4 liter, black, navigation, sun roof, luxury package, bed extender, tailgate step...the works. Is this as good as I can expect to get?

Depends on how badly you want the truck and how much less you think you can pay. If paying the least amount is most important you may be shopping a while longer. To me $500 over invoice sounds like a great deal.

Not a bad deal - I got mine for invoice but did order it and will wait between 6 yo 8 weeks from order date to delivery. The dealer will make his holdback and not spend his advertising allowance or advertising allowance and get credit for a unit sold if the unit is ordered. If the dealer has had it in inventory for a while his costs increase. If the dealer has to "dealer trade" for it he may lose his holdback. Dealers need to make a little money, also. Sounds like you have the basis for a decent negotiation. Good luck.

Sounds good to me. There are others getting it at invoice but there's also others only getting a grand off MSRP.......I'd say you deff. got a good deal.
Don't feel too bad.......alot of dealers these days don't pay commision anymore but a small fixed salary along with a set amount for each vehicle along with a CSI (customer satisfaction index) bonus. They usually get more with the more units they sell and make another $20 or so if the customer uses the dealers F&I or buys and extended warranty, aftermarket items.........so it all adds up.
It all boils down to what you think is a good deal or what you can live with. You can certainly do a lot worse than $500 over invoice. Personally I think it is a good deal, I paid $1600 under MSRP for mine loaded out the way this one is plus accent package.
