Hello everyone,
My name is Victor and I'm a Raptorholic......
I had a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara that I bought brand new and owned for almost 3 years..... I put a 3" lift on it and was able to fit some 35" tires, very sweet looking..... I thought I would never get rid of it, I loved the darn thing......But, a few trips to the dealership for repairs and constant headaches from the dealership about the lift and warranty issues; I could see the end of the relationship fast approaching.....
There was really nothing out there in the car world that I could see myself driving other than my Jeep....... Then it happened, while driving southbound on I-5 in the #2 lane; I first got a glimpse of what appeared to be a tank fast approaching from behind in the #1 lane.... As it passed me, I did a quadruple take; 'What the heck is that', I asked myself..... I accelerated, as my 6 cylinder jeep struggled to catch up to the monster that had passed me as if I were standing still in the lane.... It went by so fast that it gave me no time to read the make and model of what I first thought was a cross between a Hummer and an F-150...... As I got close enough, I was able to read the word RAPTOR, as I glanced down at my speedometer and realize I was going 85 MPH; Yes, I know, I had a hard time believing that my Jeep could exceed 70 MPH.....
Once I got home, I fired up the laptop and headed straight to Google..... I entered the words Ford Raptor, and the pictures re-affirmed the love at first sight I had felt just 10 minutes earlier....... This was about two weeks ago, and I am proud to say, that yesterday, I traded my Jeep for my new love, my molten orange 2010 Ford Raptor..... Life is good......
By no means is this post meant to disrespect Jeep Wranglers, they are great vehicles, but I personally would take a Raptor over a Jeep any day.......
