I did mine in my garage in about 4 hours with a "borrowed" spring compressor and an impact wrench. I did not have to remove the whole assembly, but it might have been faster to remove it.

I took it up to NTB and used the 3 year alignment from my previous lifted truck, so their was no cost to me.
