Anyone know if they can fit a mountain bike (with 29" wheels) in the back seat area of a supercrew? Seats up or down it doesn't matter.
With the front wheel on, probably fits. I'll check with mine tomorrow. The Raptor SCrew has the same interior as the other F150 SCrews, size wise. Dealership might let you check the fit.

With the front wheel off, it should fit with room to spare. Might get some pedal scrapes by the AC inverter and rear vents.

I can fit my 29er and my 26er in the back seat of my S crew with front wheels off and my road bike in with both wheels on. And I have put 2 MTBs back there and with the windows tinted you can't even see them! It's a nice option to carrying bikes!

Wow that's great news, you put the seats down I'm assuming?

That's a big reason I'm buying a Raptor in the first place, wanted to be able to carry around my bike securely and ride it in between appointments. Really looked for the Scab but this is reason enough to justify a Screw purchase. Thanks!

Yea seats are folded UP, and it is a great way to go if you need to leave your bike in the car for awhile unattended!

I'm not shocked at all that it would fit. I had a Honda Ridgeline when they first came out and my bikes fit in the back seat of it with the seats folded up. The back of the Screw is huge compared to the Ridgeline.

I'm a bit of a neat freak about the inside of my vehicles and bringing the dirt/grease into the inside always bugged me. I just got my Screw so I'm not sure I will be putting any of my bikes in the backseat anytime soon.

I've been looking at options for carrying them in the bed and this the best option I've been able to come up with so far (http://www.yakima.com/shop/bike/truck-bed/locking-bedhead). I roof carried a lot on my other vehicles in the past but putting anything on the Raptor that makes it any taller isn't something I have any interest in doing! I still have hopes of being able to park it in my garage although I haven't tried yet.

I have the Thule bed rider and use it with a 29er. You have to turn the front wheel to fit in the bed because of the bike length. Not a bad system. It is very fast and easy to use.

A better solution than putting the bike in the cab.

Cheap Route

Ive gone the cheap route I guess. After having had one Super Duty stolen twice and another one broke into 5 times you can imagine Im quite particular about antitheft. What I do is the following:

-Tailgate - Always locked
-Steering Wheel - The Club - It looks stupid, my buddies give me grief about it, but haven't had a truck touched since I started using it (kocking on wood :3-smash:)
-Bike (TREK 8500) - Carry it on standard bike rack on hitch with locking pin and 20 bucks of worth logging chain through the frame, both wheels, and the trailer chain point with the largest Master Lock I could find.

So far so good. It may looks ridiculous :gy:but its worked so far with a Super Duty and my Raptor.

My family ( wife + 2 kids ) are with me or a few buddys so cabs full of riders. I've got reciever 5 bike which really carries 4 with out bashing up and one in bed. I've got thru axle on front fork so ive alway lock all bikes thru frames and front wheel and never had problem.

I just took off the front wheels quickly, got the bike, held it when I needed it. Then install the rear wheel in the car, in the tilted seat with the driver's seat pushed forward, put the bike in, you can even lock the car if you are about to park in a place where no one can enter. Don't steal, it's a good deterrent, then to take it off you just need to remove the wheel, remove bike after pushing the driver's seat forward and take it off immediately, to put the wheel Your bike gets back into place much faster than a bike rack If you choose the bike size according to your car space it might be better.
