I've been wanting to do a muffler delete for a while now and I don't know if i should get a straight pipe and put it where the muffler goes or let it dump out the cats. Leaning towards the pipe replacing the muffler as I like the look of the corsa dual tip. Any thoughts?

No muffler would make it too loud...for you and the neighbors. I installed Stainless Works Lightning style side exit with X-pipe. Removed the stock "Y" and made the entire system true dual exhaust from the engine to the tips.

I think you’ll still get drone with the resoator, because the velocity through the exhaust will change. The resonator length is calculated by that. Helmholtz calculation

Maybe so. I have a Helmholz resonator on my '14. It helped.
