Found a 2012 Raptor at a dealership for a good price only has 48,000 MI. Disappointed it has the same electrical issues that I see on the site. Hard to start seems to be killing the battery when it's off. Alternator is putting out good power.
I had the same issue with my 2014, I traced it back to the radio pulling too many amps when the truck was off, it was the APIM that was causing it. I just upgraded to a Sync 3 because it's a better system.Found a 2012 Raptor at a dealership for a good price only has 48,000 MI. That's what I've seen in my searches for the F150 but I've looked for it and can't find one there's nothing on the negative cable. Was wondering if anyone else had seen it on a 2014 Raptor, if so then the previous owner most of had it removed and not sure if it will affect anything. It's my understanding the older vehicles used a toroid inductor (sort of like a round donut that the battery cable passes through).
I'll look again to see if maybe I missed it, but if not I guess I'll have to find the plug in the wire harness to reinstall it. Thanks for the help.View attachment 29600
I think this is what you should be looking for. Check to see if it has been placed on the chassis to cab ground cable. If not then your may be correct that someone removed it (perhaps not knowing it's importance). Good luck
