I agree, i dont understand how the HD mode would be effected. its basically working off your brakes as what was mentioned before.

I spoke to Jim Jr. personally, sounds like a nice guy and he is willing to work with me to get my truck specifically tuned for my elevation (approx 6k)

this may be worth it regardless considering these trucks were tested at lower elevation, lots lower lol so i know im missing out on a lot of power.

My only addition to this motor will be bolt ons..CAI, true Dual from JDM, and possibly a programmer.

the only reason why im debating on the programer chip is because i might be moving back to cali in 4 years...and my tune will be off when i head back down to sea level...then trying to find a reputable shop that has a decent dyno...PITA...

But if they can tune the truck to take out some lag in my tranny shifting points...that would be worth it on its own. but then i need to decide on what type of fuel to run...wont be able to run either E85 or 87 anymore....it will be one or the other or 91 octane. again, i like the flexibility of E85 or 87...again, im going back to just bolt on mods again.
