So I gotta VIN...sorta

So this sales dude seems nice enough, swears he will blow everyone away on his price on a 6.2 supposedly showing up next week. (Even did me good on my trade.)

So I asked him for a VIN today not knowing what I can do with it.. Got it, Soo I toss it to you guys ! Now that I have it what CAN I do with it !? Lol...

Man I hope this guy holds true to everything..I've been burnt now by two local dealers. If this doesn't go thru, I don't know what Ill have to do next..

You can check this site, http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=.
Put your VIN in at the end. It should produce a window sticker, if the truck is indeed scheduled to arrive next week. The window sticker will show the build date in the upper left corner, next to the larger numer with the state designator. Just drop the first "2" and that's the build date. You can also call Ford customer service and give them the VIN. They should be able to give you an approximate delivery date.

I agree - no window sticker yet. I would guess that you are looking at at about 4 weeks for delivery. Why don't you negotiate a price with the dealer and see if you can get a $250 deduct for every week that it doesn't show up. See if the dealer is willing to put his money where his mouth is. It will be worth it just to watch him squirm out of his statement that the truck will be in next week.

Plus that sticker price scares the hell out of me..I sure hope he can do a LOT better that that ! I was hoping for 43ish...

That's the exact same config as my Raptor - nice choice :)
Invoice on that is close to 42-43, so it depends on what $$ your dealer wants to make on the unit.
