The wiring harness appears to be connected properly, does anyone have any suggestions. A new light costs over $300.

Water in the unit causing corrosion over time (mine lasted 4 years) - common issue with Gen ones - soon you will have no LEDs then a Hill Decent fault - unfortunately the only fix is a replacement of the entire unit. I had mine replaced under warranty (got lucky there). I will say though that the replacement OEM light I got from the dealer did have a much better gasket and clearer plastic, so i know they did revise the design at dome point.
from what i hear the after market ones aren't great (some are happy with them). check ebay for someone selling off an OEM maybe
