I have a cousin that really wants a Raptor. He decided he wanted to wait for 2017 because it has better mpg. I told him that is he was worried about mpg he might as well buy a prius.

    Sent from the Bacon isle.

I had a 13 FX4 Ecobust and it was terrible . I owned it 6 months and traded for a Toyota Tundra you would think it being a Japanese truck the technology would be better but it's awful. Got over being mad at Ford and bought a 14 Raptor and owned it a year. Had a few minor issues like not coming out of 4lo and Yes I know how to do it. I love Ford trucks owned 12 but will never by in to the Ecobust hype again!!!

Different strokes for Different folks. Ford has without question proven the Ecoboost lineup of motors. My wifes Edge Sport with the 2.7l (and 315hp) is a blast. I had a '10SCAB and an '11 SCREW and I am on the list for the '17 SCREW. I am concerned about the 10 speed transmission but you've got to have some faith (and a years worth of testing between now and then). Better fuel economy than my 6.2 wouldn't be so bad either. I hope the color blue they have shown it in is available.

By the way things look, I will be buying an F-150 Roush with a supercharger. Also I am not sure of the future of the Atlas.
An f-150 Platinum or Limited with a supercharger will be just fine since the only off roading I do is the driveway.

I'm missing my 2010 more than I'm interested in a 2017. Which means that I'll stick with my 2014 and keep eyes peeled for a good deal on a 2010 marshmallow ride super-cab! I have driven the Eco-Boost and frankly, I'd rather do the RAM Eco-Diesel, which still was a far cry from my 6.2L current and past. A V-8 Eco-Diesel Raptor would get my attention.

What you guys have said is interesting! My 2011 SCrew is Paid in Full! I've been thinking about a new truck. Do I need a new one? No, there's absolutely nothing wrong with my Raptor. Looked at Tundra Pros. MSRP $45K with dealer mark-ups to $60-65K. Better than a Raptor? Nope. The Chevy Reaper? What a joke! New Raptor? Looks nice but a 6 banger? No thanks! PowerWagon? Maybe but it does nothing fast. Essentially a tractor with a pickup body. So I'm thinking bout paying myself the truck note for a while and upgrade my 2011. Rebuild to a 6.6L...whipple...cams...head work...address the trans...37" rubbers...blah, blah, blah...then mess with the 2017 nobs!!

The 2017 Raptor looks very much like the Dodge Rebel the flat front grill and square lines
    IMG_0659.jpg
One of the other threads a post said the 2017 a long side a Gen 1 Raptor made the Gen 1 look whimpy IMO I don't see it making the Gen 1 looking whimpy.
    IMG_0657.jpg
It also said the 17 was much bigger all the way around by at least 2" I was just trying to figure out the width of the 2017 Raptor and this is what I found:Last Gen F-150 is 79.2 inches wide- 2014 Raptor is 86.3 inches wide
So as you can tell above, 86.3 - 79.2 = 7.1 inches (We were always told that the Raptor was 7 inches wider than the F-150)
    2015 F-150 is 79.9 inches - Ford has said that the 2017 Raptor will be 6 inches wider than the 2015 F-150 so 79.9 + 6 = 85.9 inches.
So the 2017 Raptor seems to be not as wide as the Gen 1 Raptor. To be exact .4 inches narrower (86.3 - 85.9
This doesn't include the side mirrors.
I haven't seen one that I can pull up next to and see for myself. I think the 17's look Awesome especially the interior I also think the Gen 1 SVT Raptors are very cool.

Clearly you have been proven WRONG! They are selling so hot you have to get on a waiting list. I am a v8 guy but I am always open to change and glad for it because this 2017 is BADASS and well over 500 pounds lighter... lean and mean!
