Wiz, with all the work you do on this truck, when do you have time to drive it???

My brakes have been squealing, and I've asked the dealership to fix them and the last time I was in they did; but the handling feels weird now and the squeal is back. I should probably follow your lead and get some new ones.
Also, I think its spelled, "cosmoline".
This is why your brakes squeal...
Image

It's because of the cracks that occur in the stock pads...They all do it..
With all honesty this really is a good investment you will realize a difference.
"Cosmoline"....lol...Thanks

Good info Wiz. Hey I think I missed the completion of your custom back seat/sub woofer mod. I looked back but couldn't find it. Any idea what page the finished product is on?

Wiz, anxious to see the vid's. I may have missed it but did you upgrade the brakelines as well? Thank you so much for documenting everything, incredible job....

All right I just got back from a test drive...
All I can say is WOW!!!!!!
If you guy's are looking for a great up grade you need to look at this brake system from SDHQ...

I put the fronts on a few weeks ago and after doing the rears today this thing will stop on a dime with 9 cents change....
Now I will be doing a comparison from stock to just fronts and then fronts and rears...With video and temp. readings...
I was saving this as a surpise for you guy's but what the heck the cats out now..
I can tell you guy's with just doing the fronts the stopping distance went from 200' at a 70mph to zero. To 182' from 70mph to 0....
That was with just the fronts and the rotors were running about 20 degrees cooler..
This is all in video... The stop test and rotor temp's...
I'll try and get the next test session in this week and edit all the video up for you guy's..

Not done yet my friend....I met with a major car audio supplier last week and submitted a proposal to them. I'm trying to get some sponsorship..

Yes I did the sdhq lines a few years ago...It's in there somewhere...:D

You are a good man Mr. Wiz guy!

I am all over the brakes as well as the Bump pads. You beat me to it and for that I am thankful as I will use your info as I have done in the past.

I am really trying hard not to purchase the Brembo front brakes and then the SDHQ rear with the Cryo plus the pads.

Still going to hold off on the bump pads until I can park her for a bit. And the Fox Shox arrive.

Great work as always and a pleasure to see you do it. By the way, update on my desire to Cam my truck. Livernois says 2 weeks for the work so I thought about taking her up there in a one way Penske rental and flying back, using my return ticket to go get her. But that is a lot of work for 40 H.P. Then again, life is short....

O and I don't know about the hole "Legend" thing..lol..Maybe in my own mind..he he

Hey wiz, I ran across something I thought was funny in the latest issue of "Truckin." On page 94 in the middle of an article about a "Bring on the Noise" car show in Arizona, there is the name "Wiz1500" right in the middle of a sentence. I had to laugh, don't know how or why this would have happened, but take a look if you get a chance, I think it might be their way of trying to get your truck in their magazine????

Hey Wiz....check out this web site. Its one of my favorites when it comes to rally car builds (or rebuilds). You may fine it interesting. These guys are definitely good at fab. Pick a project and check out the pictures. I like their Ford model T rally car...especially the wheels.

Great shots Wiz!! And congrats on the new Grandson!

Wait...

You are only 43...yikes!! lol!

Good luck with all of that.

Hey, on the mudflaps...they look great as well and congrats on that too. Questions..

Are they really flexible or are they hard?
..and when can I put in an order? If, that is, they are available.

Good job once again!

Cheers!

These flaps are HIGHLY flexible..That is the reason I went with them...
With the type of off roading my truck sees anything else would be broken off the first time out...They are also very slipper and will not let stuff stick to them...
http://www.rallyarmor.com/store/universal-urethane-plus-flap-red-logo-p-329.html
As you can see they are pricey...I will be calling them Monday to see if I can get a deal on a bulk buy....
As for availability I want to have WRCRaptor install a set on his truck (after all this was all his idea in the first place.lol) This will let me check fitment on a truck other than mine..It will also let me make sure you guy's can get them on with little drama..
Then we can see about production and putting complete kits together with hardware.
I no this has been a while in the making but I don't want to put something out there with my name on it that,,,,, well you know....
As of right now the only concern I have is with the width and die. of the Grabbers. The tire does come close the inside edge of the flap when cycling threw to full lock. It can be tweaked a little though.
Thanks on the grand baby..

I can appreciate your sentiment with the name going on items...100%
Good to hear they are flexible..I did visit Rally Armour and I am not scared of the price, but never was able to discern if they were of the flexible nature.

Thanks bro and Cheers for that!
