Well... after 5.5 weeks of going by the body shop multiple times per week, chewing out the service manager and body shop manager multiple times for slow progress.. my truck is finally finished/Repaired!

They actually did a really good job, i was impressed! Not bad for$14,000 worth of damage i guess!

Well, i had a pretty bad day yesterday. I took my raptor to lunch yesterday (on a beautiful day), and headed to eat, i was behind a wood chip truck (18wheeler full of wood chips), and another logging truck pulled out in front of the 18 wheeler in front of me.. it was a long straight 2 lane road, and no body coming so i eased out past the first 18wheeler (wood chip truck) and went to pass.. as i was 3/4 of the way past him, he decided he was going to pass the log truck in front of him. He didn't look, turned right into the side of my raptor (both of us going about 55 mph) and his trailer started digging into the side of my truck... I realized it was either keep getting blasted by this 60,000lb trailer and possibly get killed, of dive the truck off into the ditch.. Well, i took the ditch after he had already ripped the mirror off my passenger side, and dug a huge hole in the front fender. When i went of the side of the road, the passenger side front tire dug into the ground and sheered the steering knuckle in half, bent the shock, and upper and lower A-arms. . As you can see by the pics, i'm devastated. Hopefully it can all be fixed.. I'm guessing close to $15,000 in damage/repairs/body work.

I can tell u this.. if i was in my 07' F250, My JK, or my cobra, i probably wouldn't have lived to tell this story!

See the pics.. This sucks! oh, and i have had it 3 months, and only put 3,500 miles on it!
Glad to see the repairs when fine.

Glad to hear you have your baby back!

damage report is in...

new passenger front fender, new hood, new lower bumper, new headlight, new upper and lower A-Arms, New passenger front shock assembly, new Steering knuckle, new decals both sides, new hood decal, new passenger side step, new front tire, new wheel, new door, 4 new fender flares, and basically repaint everything but roof and tailgate. Grand total.. $13,500 estimate for damages!

Now probably a month to repair or more! :(
I got my truck hit in December that was 15k in damage. Ford repair shop assured me id be driving it in 2 weeks. I laughed in their faces and told them they weren't going to touch my truck with that incompetence. Didnt want to check the frame because he'd worked on so many f150 he knew how strong their frames were. Story short 2 and 1/2 months later my truck got fixed and I havent gotten to tell that idiot that my frame was indeed bent. Hope you can find that driver seeing that you probably left some paint on his trailer. Good luck glad ur alright, keep us posted

Nice!

How does she drive?
she really drives as good as new! They replaced the upper and lower control arms, the Steering knuckle and the fox racing shock. I got the old shock back from them... It only had some scratches in the valve body of the shock, but the piston is still straight, so i basically have a replacement shock for later on if one goes bad.

It really does drive and handle exactly like before, that's the main thing i cared about! It's SO good to have it back!!
