My 2002 Yukon Denali gives me hypothermia with the AC on even with 100 degree temps outside. My 2011 Raptor SVT Crewcab AC is so weak that opening the windows while driving is more comfortable. I took it to the dealer; no help. What a pathetic state of affairs to build such a truck, made for the desert, with an anemic AC that performs like an East German Trabant.
I say that Ford should declare this a defect, issue a recall and put in a respectable AC unit.

I had to charge mine earlier this summer. Maybe you should try and add some R134a too. You can get the "do-it-yourself" cans at parts stores that come with the hose and gauge for about $30. While it isn't right that you should have to fork over the money (IMO), if the dealer won't do it, then that's about the only option.

Sorry bout your luck!

I agree totally, I have a 2012 and the AC is pathetic also, I am going to take my Raptor back to the dealer and tell them that I do not want to hear that it is working with in Fords specs, just fix the AC so it actually cools the truck. Boy that is one area that Ford needs to improve on desperately and yes have a re- call on all Fords between 2010 to now.

My AC sux too, 3 or so months old and AC is useless. Along with the whole nav system.
To be perfectly honest Ford sux as much now as they did when i owned my last one 20 years ago. Really not sure i'll buy another, i thought SVT meant it was good not a shitter.

Maybe someone with the service manual can chime in but I've seen service manuals for other vehicles which state the temperature drop you should see from incoming air vs what is coming out of the vent. Could just be a bad charge and the temperature drop should be able to tell you that. I'd imagine the best way to test would be on recirc so the engine temps don't affect it.

do all screws have the "flow through" center console? My 11 has it and it freezes everyone out in the back seat, but the front is fine. Do you use the auto temp controls? If I set mine at 72 it is still not cold in the truck at 95 + set at 68 it is petty cold .

My air is ice cold in the front of the cab and back its set on auto to 70 degrees. If its under warranty bring it back you need a recharge.

On my third Raptor (10,11 &12) and A/C is not one of their strong points...Love the truck but the A/C is not up to the level of my past GM trucks...I got the 12' as much for the cooled seats as anything else ( I live in Hells Acres...Arizona) Try taking it to another dealer and ask the shop foreman to inspect it before and after service. Good luck.

Don't use those a/c kits that you can buy in the store, OMG!!! Not on a new vehicle. I'm an a/c tech and listen to me, they are a no no unless you really know what you are doing. You need to weigh the exact charge in, too much refrigerant or too little and it won't work correctly and i'm talking about a couple of ounces difference. Find another dealer and get somebody who cares about your vehicle.

I agree with mustangbesos. Don't use the kits unless you know what you are doing. But it does sound like you need a recharge of your A/C system.

I don't use my A/C regularly, my '11 Screw is too dam cold!

Find a better dealer, if they deny, take it to an AC shop and send the dealer the bill !

I am loosing patience with Ford altogether, when I shut off my AC it STILL RUNS, but my local dealer has become a RICHARD CRANIUM and I'm not talking to him !

So, it is what it is

I have monitored my A/C temp since new 2010. Mainly because the truck i traded in ,i had a tempeture guage stuck in the vents and just moved over to the new truck when it arrived. When it was brand new the lowest temp i could get was 55 deg out of left drivers vent. It was a little warm for arizona in my opinion , then a few weeks later i had the windows tinted Limo all the way around and the temps dropp to 50 deg out of vent. It still bugged me until a few months ago that it would only cool to 50deg , where as my 95 tahoe with 230,000 miles on it would cooldown to 40 deg out of drivers left vent all day long even at 117 deg out in the middle of the desert. A few months back , i added less than a 1/2 can of regular 134A. What a diffrence now, it cools to 45 degrees, when its 110 deg out. I think ford fills them at the factory ,thinking everbody lives in 80 degree weather , when its 80 deg here it will run 40deg out the vent ,and cycle the clutch. I'm happy for now and it only cost me a few bucks in freon and didn't have to deal with dealer's BS.
