My truck took 55 days to get shipped to Salt Lake City. It's now been sitting for 6 days just 6 miles from the dealer on what was first a 'quality hold' on the 6.2L Raptor. Now I'm being told there's a 'quality hold' on ALL F-150s... I see photos of dudes who picked up their trucks yesterday, so I suspect my dealer is LYING or has BAD info! Is there anyone out there that can verify some kind of global hold on F-150s?!

Well I am picking mine up in 2 hours, so let's see them "hold" it from me:D

Just speculating and I do not wish you any bad luck...however that scenario sounds quite familiar. Perhaps your Raptor was damaged on delivery and it's now "on hold" until the repairs are completed. Suggest you call your dealer and ask him directly whet the cause of the hold is.

Good luck!

Yeah, I'm definitely thinking it's been damaged in shipping and the dealer is digging themselves a hole by not telling the truth... I'll paraphrase, but according to my sales guy "There was a quality hold on all F-150s starting last Saturday (ironically the day my truck arrived); it's not a big deal or safety concern but they just have to check them all out before they release them" If that was true, there should have been no F-150 deliveries anywhere in the country this week... I think I'd get a Google hit on that, but can't find anything. BS.

Because this process has been a never-ending nightmare for me since January, I have my own personal Ford Customer Service agent, Judy, that I talk to every few days. Of course she doesn't know what's going on, but has sent an email to see what she can find out.

It's just a freakin' truck; this should be easy and fun! So far it's neither...

I know my dealer just unloaded a black one today...that was not mine

vailx, I was wondering which dealer as I have mine shipped to salt lake city.(LHM)
I have ETD 6 june and thats by ford CS and the dealer estimate.I called both yesterday and no one mentioned any hold on quality or delivery. :wow:

it was on the news here localy in the detroit area, all f150s are on hold for a quality check, hada few people i know from ford tell me the same thing, although no details but they are on hold , a friend of mine has a shop next to the svt facility where the trucks are sitting he told me he has not seen any being loaded up or moved , so something is going on . To me i have waited so long i just want the truck to come in workign right so i guess a few extra days wont kill me

Unlikely, as it wouldn't be just on local news and besides I just picked mine up yesterday, no holds obviously.
Also, shipments appear to still be moving.

it was on the local news in detroit , and it was anoounced the past few days ago, also your truck was probably shipped before this was announced, it probably took 10-15 days to get to oregon from detroit, so just because yours arrived the other day does not mean that there is no hold you have to take in account shipping time, not trying to be a jerk but, not everything goes out nationwide, and just because you got yours does not mean that there is not a quality control issue, i dont know what is going on just trying to pass along info i have seen and heard, all beit not everything that people say that work at ford is always correct but just because you did here it in oregon and because you got your truck doesnt dispell this either .

I'm sitting here in Phoenix in the same boat. My 6.2 was delivered to El Mirage and off loaded from the train last Monday the 24th. I had a scheduled dealer delivery date of the 27th. Too bad the truck is still sitting in El Mirage, with 126 other F 150s, secondary to an edict from Dearborn, that Ford Customer Service knows nothing about. Now its Memorial Day weekend and I have no chance of delivery until at least next Tuesday. Too bad I am leaving for Baja Monday AM, can't wait for my truck, only have limited time off. To throw some salt on the wound, my Raptor video, hat and Matchbox truck arrived Thursday, the day my truck was suppose to be delivered. For any other vehicle besides this truck, I would have told Ford to GTH. Plus AZ just passed Prop 100, an additional 1% sales tax that's gonna cost me another $450. I don't understand how a company can stay profitable with such poor communication skills.:i_redface:

Found this on another site "F-150's from the Claycomo, Mo. plant are on quality hold because of an issue with the welds on the drive shaft. I don't know how many trucks are being held." If this is the case, our Raptors shouldn't be affected, unless they have the same issue at Dearborn. Couldn't find anything in regard to the Raptor.

Mine was in transport as of fri sales guy told me he is thinking the truck will be rolling in today and he always has someone there on sundays for deliveries and will call me if comes in  It is only about 8-9hr trrip from the plant to me so hope to see it specially when they got there black one in Fri. So if they do get held up hope mine is on the road allready :)
