OK, bro. Here you go: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=11247

I wouldn't buy them from Ford as they are way over-priced. I got them for around $1800, free shipping, plus the light bar itself. JDM on here seems to have a great deal on the light bar, but they don't have the HID's on their sight yet.
OH COOL!

These look like the same one's that Randy Ellis recommended and ordered for the "no-bull" bar, but in stainless finish.

I bet they are gonna kick ass and run flawless! 2,180,000 Candlepower Dude!:wow:

I spoke with KC Lighting about the Ford Racing HID's they build, and the guy said they are good for 5000 hours of use and are actually 50 watts and not 35. I was very satisfied with my choice after hearing that. They recently started building 70 watters, but the guy said there is not a huge difference in perceptible light between those and the 50's, and that the 50's are baddass. The 70's are supposed to be good for 3000 hours.

I been reading these posts in here trying to decided which HID kit I should get for the raptor. I know I want to get a 6000k system. So far it's a toss up between these two.

There's the Visionpro 6000k H13 9008 Bi-Xenon HID kit $249 http://www.xenonking.com/Visionpro-6000k-Hid-Kit-Car.html

and

There's the Retro-Solutions 6000k 55W H13 9008 Digital Bi-Xenon HID kit $192
http://www.retrosolutionsllc.com/servlet/the-172/DIGITAL-HID-XENON-CONVERSION/Detail

I know a few of you guys have installed the visionpro kits but I haven't read anywhere of anyone installing the Retro-Solutions digital kit.
So I'm just looking for some feedback to help me make my decision.
:feedback:
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?;)

Thanks Ducati,
Yeah, I'm definetly going to get the 6000k the 8000k are just a little to blue for my taste. The kit you chose was the one with the H13/9008 bulb correct? Thanks for posting up.
Another question though... when you ordered the kit did you have to order the bulb cap option for the hid bulb? I have yet to actually see a raptor in real life so I don't know if the headlight lens on the raptor has a bulb cap incorporated into it, anyone know?

It appears what is being discussed is not DOT approved.

If that is correct, what is the best headlight upgrade that is DOT approved?

No, you dont need a bulb cap. Its built in to the headlights.

Yes its the H13 bulb, just make sure you order a Bi-xenon H13 - (highs and lows in one bulb)

Im ordering the 6k bulbs this week and Ill get a video up when I get them installed.

DOT approved does not mean they are street legal.
Im not sure if it varies by state but in NY, they must be from the factory. It's illegal to put an HID bulb in a halogen housing.
Correct......and this is straight from Philips (I am not sure that vendor linked above knows what they are talking about based on their info on their webpage)

http://www.lighting.philips.com/us_...xenon2.php?main=us_en_automotive&parent=51381833453&id=us_en_automotive&lang=en

"NOTE : Xenon HID bulbs can only be used in vehicles that have HID lighting systems. They cannot be used as an upgrade in conventional headlights."

FYI: Read this, excellent info on all of this stuff here: (NOTE, it's a lengthy read and there are links that delve even deeper on this topic. I am not sure if there is a more comprehensive site describing the cons of an HID conversion)
