Based on your recommendation(s) I am going to go with speedliner...the cost for the bed and fenders is about $600 here in Chicago.
If that is the price, it is about the same as the others then, making it a winner.

Dynamic Towing and Equipment 7576241360 look at thier work since I personally can't vouch for thier craftsmanship, they have been a long term dealer with good rep with the company.

No problem,I am signing off now. I gotta go enjoy the day before the snow storm tonight,Wish I had my truck to go play in the snow. Right now it is sunny and 75f.
In Oklahoma if you don't like the weather just wait a minute,it will change!

It's only money. :hah:Just ask Obama they will print more lol
I knew I liked you <G>. ---------------------^

I have been following ALL the threads on bedliners, I think it is something that should be done as soon as possible after getting a new truck. I read your (Excellent) write up and all the comments, I would like to thank you for taking the time and effort to do so. In the fairly short time you have been a member of the board, I find that you shoot pretty damned straight, so I have no reason not to trust your opinion here. That said, I have never heard of Speedliner, but if what you say about their quality is true, then they don't HAVE to advertise, word of mouth probably gives them all the business they can handle.

The only problem here in the wilds of the Ozarks is "we ain't got much a that modern stuff." <G> Would you mind checking area code 573, zip 65583 and seeing how many days I would have to travel to find a dealer? I would appreciate it - I am also very interested in some of your Raptor decals you referred to, if you could give me some info on them I would appreciate it.

One more question... what is your opinion, as someone who has done it for over 15 years, of the "Wheel Well" topic. Is it worth it or advisable in your opinion?

Thanks for your efforts and great Info!

Thanks Falcon,
I have always been a do it right or don't do it at all type of guy. I have done the wheel wells on all my trucks(the whole underneath of the bed in my avatar). Yea, I like it because it is easy to clean. I personally do not like the look of color matched fender wells. I can't get you the info till monday, or you could go to the website and e-mail them your info, they will get you the nearest dealer. I was talking to the owner when Shtfrbrains started his questions,so it was easy to get a quick answer. They manufacture a product for me,so I can get you info pretty quick except on weekends.

If you don't have time to do it right... where in the hell are you going to find time to do it OVER?

OK, I have a serious question here. Why does it seem like a given that you pay $500-$600 for a spray-in bedliner when you buy a new pickup? Is it more for a non-slick surface, avoiding scratches, or for appearances? I mean does anyone ever see in the bed of your pickup, anyway? I'm not trying to be obnoxious here, just curious.

I think it is simply a question of durability as much as appearance. We want to be able to load stuff in and out of our beds over many years without worrying about it rusting from having the paint scraped off.

Well if you drive fast enough, you are correct no one can see in the bed of your truck(except Big Brother):hah:
It is for anti-skid,resale,appearance,sound deadning. Other than that it's kind of like the Raptor it is just cool:smileup:
That is why I am of the opinion either do it right or don't do it till you can afford to do it right, you have one shot at doing it right.;) To me a faded bedliner looks worst than no liner at all.
Again look at your installers work, see if they have a older liner around that has not been recoated or painted over before you decide. Because even if you have the best product, if the install is not done right,it taint worth poop.(can we say poop?)
Have Fun

I'm really torn on this....Line-X quoted me $654 for the Black Xtra, not including the wheel wells and before a military discount - not sure how much that is. That seems just a bit high so I will shop around but the Line-X v. Speedliner is a tough one...a lot of marketing hocus jumbo and science smoke and mirrors. I wish I could see a good install of both side-by-side. One thing for sure - the dealer is obviously critical and the pre-install prep also critical. I like the nationwide Line-x warranty.

If you have any questions just ask. I am not a dealer anymore(no monetary gain for me) but I did this for 15 years I can help you see thru the smoke and mirrors.
Line-x in our town can be had for $400.00 so it sounds kinda high.:4-dontknow:
