After a very long time in development, there is finally an option for those seeking a bigger brake option. Working with Brembo on getting these made, they were able to create a 15inch 6 piston brake upgrade, drilled or slotted, for the 2010-2011 Ford Raptor! The Calpers are going to be offered in Black, Red or Silver only. Retail Price is $4,750 for the complete set. At this time we are taking Pre-orders on the kits that are going to begin shipping out around July 25th.

These Brakes will not fit the Factory 17" Wheels and we will be able to provide a Wheel Fitment Template to any interested buyers so that they can check their custom wheels to make sure they will fit.

Please feel free to email or call me directly if you have any questions.

Speak to you soon,
James Howard

Pricing for the kit? I've been interested in a brake upgrade from day 1, but I know those brakes DON'T come cheap! :)
Modifying the first post now with the price. Retail is $4,750 for the complete Front Set.

Do you guys think a big brake on a truck that's not going over 120 mph is worth the investment ?
I'd be curious if there was any before/after testing done even for a 60-0 type test. I know you've really got to pull the reigns on this beast if you're going 60-70 and traffic suddenly slows!

Brakes are a big dispute within the industry and just like anything else you can do to your vehicle, its either for you and your uses or its not. Here is what I would say as a general response to why you would want to consider an upgrade to this system. Brembo uses over 25 different criteria when developing a new application such as the Raptor including horsepower, vehicle weight, the master cylinder, ABS & traction control to develop a system that will improve overall braking by greater than 30%. The driver will note this upgrade includes significant improvements to the feel, modulation & control through the pedal, much greater thermal capacity in the disc, improved friction material and a more rigid light weight calipers.

Only 120mph huh? :wow: Brakes are way more important than horsepower.

I put a brembo kit on my Durango when I burned the stock ones out chasing a stolen motorcycle. They made a HUGE difference!
BTW, I never took that over 125mph in two years as my cop car, but was glad I had em every day.

James, do you recommend using only the slotted rotors over the cross drilled on these big trucks? And do you think Wilwood is ever going to produce their 16" version for this truck?

thanks..

James, do you finance secretly, under the table, so my wife can't see it? Haha
I have heard stories from others in your position... Not sure its worth the risk!

We prefer to use the slotted version, however each owner has their own preference. At this time we have not heard even a Whisper from Wilwood on any brakes they are looking to produce for the vehicle so the chances may be quite small.

James, The reason I asked about Wilwood is because their 6 piston systems with 16" rotors usually run around $3200.. much cheaper compared to the $4700 of Brembo.. plus, their caliper sits a little flatter which allows for a lot more clearance for various types of 20" wheels..

Once you get these mounted on your Raptor please give us some pre and post-test stopping numbers (e.g., 60 - zero; 100 - zero etc)..

thanks..

sorry to say, $4700 for some bigger brakes is way outta the question for me, i would rather use that money for a procharger. I dont see anything about those brakes that scream $4700

Not to mention the larger wheels you have to buy. I upgraded my rotors on my f250 with slotted and drilled then put hawk pads on and it was amazing the difference especially when towing. Thats probably the easiest route for everyone to go.

Are u saying these are exclusive to Henesey? In my experience that means we pay $1k premium over other shops. I have the Big Brembos on my 2010 Camaro and they are the bomb. Cost was no where near this price though. I definitely want these as the stock brakes suck IMO but $6K after install is kind of insane. I think you are limiting yourself. Raptor owners spend no where near what Camaro, Challenger, or Mustang owners do.

The items are not exclusive to Hennessey, however there are no so called 'premiums' placed on any of our products, including these brakes that are manufacturered by Brembo.

I would agree.....even a set of upgraded pads would make a noticeable difference.

Don't get me wrong. Brembo makes a great product, I have a set of Brembo monoblocks on my bike. It's just hella expensive and I don't think it would be a cost effective mod IMO. However, if you have cash to burn, post pix when you've got 'em installed!

Sorry to re-up an old post, but does anyone but me think that this upgrade is way overpriced? I'm not cheap, and am usually willing to spend bucks on whatever the new shiny thing is, but these are still - a year later- so outrageously overpriced that it is not really an option. Its not even a matter of being able to afford it or not, I would just FEEL dumb for doing it. Even as great of a product, and as good as it would look, there is absoluely nothing in materials or function that would make this kit worth that. Like some has already stated, a good rotor and pad upgrade would get you great extra performance for cheap. Really, I would want this kit mainly for how good it would look, but sheesh...I will walk away from this one. Just my opinion.

Yes, I agree.. I'd love to put these on my truck but I have the 20" Methods and I was told that I'd still need a spacer so my wheels would clear the calipers.. That's another $200 plus dollars just for spacers.. In addition, I've not seen anyone post any performance data on these brakes.. So we don't know what level of "improvement" these brakes would bring.. The factory brakes on the raptors are actually very responsive already..
