That would likely destroy our resale value. I have driven the ecoboost multiple times, very fast truck! Downside is it sounds like a girls truck. V6 has no throat. I like the 5.0 idea with the twin turbo. Gas mileage difference between the ecoboost and the 5.0 right now is 1 mile per gallon.

my boss bought a platinum with an eco boost. my stock tuned raptor on 35's is still faster then it. i tried to convince him to come to the dark side but he wanted to save a few bucks. now he doesnt smack talk my raptor and its 6.2 anymore.

Kingshred, that white truck looks exactly like mine I just bought last weekend. I live in Orlando and had to go all the way to Ohio to get the white with nav and all the options I wanted. flew up and drove back 1K miles. 2.5 tanks of gas was still cheaper than shipping but I have 1K miles on my new truck. I drive 3 miles to work every day so it will be fine. As far as the 6.2L vs. the Ecoboost I can't wait t chip this thing because I drove 2 ecoboost trucks and they were fast. This thing is awesome but drives a little like a tank. I'm just wondering if the chip will make the gas mileage worse even if I don't stomp it regularly.

if your concerned about the fuel milarge in the raptor just drive it like a nancy. had a 5 mph tail wind the other day and set my cruise at 63mph (101kmh) and got 19 us mpg and being as this was over a 300km drive and included slowing down through towns and accelerating as well, i wouldnt trade the 6.2 for no piecely v6. i meen how intimidating would the vvvvvv vvvvvv of a v6 be. when i am out screwing around nothing beats the ROARRRR of the v8 working to push this beast around. i think a tuner is in store in the near future, unleash a little more of the demon.... :D

i dirve with a lead foot 95% of the time and i still average 14mpg. with almost 38000 km on the truck now ill galdly pay the extra 15$ a trip to have all the power i need!!!

A turbo charger in the dust of a desert run... REALLY... All the pro's tried this at one time and destroyed the fins inside of the turbo with the amount of dust created. Since Hamedi came from Baja Trophy Truck Racing - I would think we could trust SVT with this one (maybe not frames, but)... Definitely NO Diesel, NO V6 (Ever), and NO Turbo...

A CAI, a tuner, and a set of long tubes with X pipe and essentially a HPE VelociRaptor 475 is more than enough... You want economy - buy a Platinum F150 EcoBoost or better yet a Prius...
