Dealer let me have a Raptor for a hour,(that was great),got to do city and hwy driving,5.4 is not enough,truck work hard getting to speed,and at 60 mph trying to pass was long,mileage seemed not great,dont think the 6.2 will help enough,test drove a new dodge ram,it smokes the raptor,so i went with the dodge,and saved over 10 grand ,just my 2cents.

That's pretty cool. I'm really not all that big on Vipers, or Dodge for that matter...but it's still pretty neat that you traded one in to get a Raptor. As for myself, if I had that kind of loot...actually, you'd still need a substantial amount more, I would have bought a Ford GT instead of the Viper...but that's just me.

Unfortunately, the dealer wrecked the car less than 72 hours after I left it at their lot.
Even after numerous warnings to everyone there about it not being like a Mustang or Corvette (Viper is a different animal all together), it got totaled on Ventura blvd right in traffic by a moronic salesman who wasn't even supposed to be driving the car.
I have pics of the carnage, but would rather leave it to the imagination (and not derail this thread)
I found out about the wreck when I went back to the dealer to pick up my new 2010 GT500 four days after picking up the Raptor.
At that point I could have cared less. Wasn't my car anymore (Viper) and nobody was hurt. Hope the salesman got fired though.

i know I read the TOS when i joined here, and I could have sworn they say they own the rights to ANY message, and ANY picture posted on this forum.

The story is a couple posts above this one.
It was not rearended.
The dealer salesperson who was driving the car like an idiot on a joyride spun the car into two vehicles in traffic on Ventura Blvd less than a mile from the dealership.
Again this happened AFTER I had traded the car in.

So sad, I went over to my local Dodge Dealer the 14 of February to check the Hemi out and they didn't even have any 2010 brochures or paper work, I guess they were waiting for the Government Checks to clear before anyone would print the info.
i will say this you guys are awful hard on dodge they have been through this before look at there history they made it through this before and will again they hit hard times get a bunch of money make some great vehicals then fall on hard times again its how they are and people should keep buying there cars and trucks if for no other resone but to keep the US workers working

yeah the used car guys there were slimeballs. Be glad you didn't have to deal with them
sold me the car with an almost dead battery (put in a 200 dollar die hard platinum a week after buying the car) and no vehicle manuals even after promising to order me some.
