Hello!

New to the forum today (did lurk for a while) so I thought I would say hello. I am looking forward to the 2014 Raptor, which means I do not have a Raptor yet. Hopefully, I am still allowed! I've been in and behind the wheel of quite a few either testing them for work or in friends, so I do have some Raptor experience.

I am sacrificing some other parts of my life including what I am driving until the 2014 model comes out. So, don't mind my little daily driver running around town haha. Hope to meet some new people and learn even more about Raptors until my time has come. (who knows I could die waiting and end up with a 2013 before then)

Rumor has it that there will be no '14, this is not confirmed.

BUT, ford is not telling. The rumor mill also has an all new F-150 for 2014 with an all aluminum body. Again unconformed rumor, but no Raptor from '14 to at least '16.

It is an SVT vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised if we never saw it again, just because history usually repeats itself.

I have an F250 FX4 V10 (2003) that I am trying to sell, only has 43K miles and is in great condition.. if it doesn't sell looking to trade it in..

You could be right I was reading an article on the aluminum frames. 5 years is up on this model of f150 and they will most likely change all the side panels and lights up in 14. Lets face it there is no way an aluminum chassis is going to take a beating with all of this suspension setup like the steel one we have. And even our frames now cant take the abuse I really want to see the raptor continue but I got in a wreck yesterday and I need a truck now so probably going to cross my fingers and hope somewhere has a 2013 that is getting neglected on the lot.

Lost, welcome to the Forum. No Raptor is no problem, at least for being on the Z. I know all the reasons for waiting (I would have had an `11 had it not been for many of those) but when you can GET ONE!

Ksec, hope your wait isn't 4 months. It seems they are pushing them out quicker but it seems to also depend on the dealer and how many they move. I order early Sept and should have it Tuesday. We've sen guys getting orders pulled in just a couple weeks. I'll warn you, living through the others on this thread and building a mod list while you wait is a very addictive thing. Don't fight it, roll with it.

Trev, Once again, glad your OK. I'd personally be hoping things work out toward a new truck. The violation of the truck and you that comes with your situation always feels like "time to move on". Then again, I know the time and investment in the truck making it hard to walk away.

I ordered my 2013 on February 7th, and my dealer indicated a June delivery. I sold a 2008 Super Duty to buy a Raptor.

I really hate the idea of no more Raptors being built after 2013. I bought my 2010 a few months ago and love it. I bought it with 53k and it now has 65k. I want to pay it off this year but with the rumor that there might not be a 2014 Raptor I am thinking of trading up to a 2013.

I have to agree. History will repeat itself and SVT doesn't typically take a brand new model and design in the first year and make it one of theirs. Best bet is if you want a Raptor then you had better try and get one now because it just might be too late by waiting until the end of the year. Just my humble opinion and it isn't worth a dime.
