I guess one perk about being in the Military and being deployed in Afghanistan right now is that I was able to purchase my 2012 Raptor SCAB through Exchange New Car Sales. I got mine with the Luxury package only for $42,500.50 I put $9000 down and was financed for $34551.50 Not a bad deal.
Could you tell me more about your experience? I'm stationed in Germany.

I have a 2013 on order and got invoicing pricing. Email me if you want to know the dealer I am working with. BTW ... I am not affiliated with the dealer in anyway. I am just a customer. You can email me at khoi at eat pho ... .com

yea looking for a deal as we speak

Raptor911 please email me- I'm new and can't pm.

But I'm in the same boat, walked into the dealer today, looking at ordering one.

He said that he's only allotted so many. so he was going to charge msrp. I told him ill fly across the country for less than what msrp is and bring it home still under.

So I'm really looking for a place that can order a 2012/13 and will charge invoice.

If anybody knows any dealers close to the midwest or closer to washington state please let me know.

One question.

The dealer I talked to said he was only allotted 4 for 2013, I understand this as ford is sending him 4 raptors for his lot....

But when I asked him to order me one, he said that it would count to his total of 4 allotted, is this true? or BS.

I have heard it does count against their allotment and then I heard that it does not. But who cares. Your dealer will have a sale if they order one for you.

It's BS. It does not count against their allotment. It could be that he just doesn't know what he's talking about, which is really common with these guys. Get the info from Raptor911 (I passed my contact onto him) and you'll get your Raptor pretty easy.

Just get yes or no answers. And nail down your price up front.

The main concern I have right now regards the other fees charged when ordering a new truck. Obviously TT&L and delivery charge, but I've heard of others.

1. TT&L
2. Delivery (~1k)
3. Fuel charge (100-something)
4. A fourth charge from ford, supposed to be in the neighborhood of 1k. Wish I could remember more about this one, could be wrong.

Anyhow, how have experiences been outside of negotiating a base order price for the truck? How much over the purchase price have the final totals been going?

The first three, from my understanding, are things you can't get away from and are already included in the invoice pricing. It's a base fee from Ford. I have no idea what you're talking about in #4.

On every window sticker you'll see the first three. Totally normal and part of the purchase price. When you get an invoice quote from one of these sites, all these fees are included in that.

For 2013, there are 3 charges beyond the cost of the Raptor, dealer specific processing fees and state taxes. And everyone pays these:

Fuel Charge >> $134.28 >> that free tank of gas is not really free
ADV Assessment >> $784 >> Ford charges the customer for advertising
Destination & Delivery >> $995 >> shipping your truck from Detroit to the dealership

Thanks for the heads up! I'm not sure where I'd heard of the fourth charge, but it did smell like BS. Information is power, and in my experience it is usually best to have done as much research as possible before approaching a big purchase.
