I wanted to give everyone a heads up for when they pick up their Raptors from their dealers:
When my Raptor showed up, finally, it had a side swiped rear fender flare, scratched bed rail on passenger side, warped bed rail on driver's side, and dented hood from install.
There was a sticker on the window that said it had been tested by SVT and it had 34 miles on it - I am guessing somebody at FORD took it out for a Dillinger visit to a Detroit area bank.
The point is, the hurry to build these trucks, coupled with the size, new body design, and width issues for delivery logistics can lead to damage on your new truck.
>>SO INSPECT IT THOROUGHLY IN THE SUNLIGHT TOP TO BOTTOM BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE DEALER<<
These issues were no fault of my dealer who has done everything possible to take care of the numerous problems, as for FORD, when I called them to ask why it was delivered this way, they put me on hold, AND CALLED MY DEALER WHO IS FIVE MINUTES DOWN THE STREET AND PUT IT BACK ON THEM!! No help, sorry, free anything from FORD. FORD MOTOR COMPANY's customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. I bought a 45K truck that showed up damaged from the factory, and FORD did nothing to remedy it, not even a sorry or free t-shirt. These are the types of things that stick with me, and cause me to do what I am doing right now, put the word out. GREAT TRUCK - HORRIBLE FORD FACTORY SERVICE.
IF IT WASN'T FOR THE DEALER BEING SO GREAT AND APOLOGETIC FOR SOMETHING THEY DIDN'T EVEN DO - I WOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO KEEP IT.
Take it for what it is worth.
