Yeah the mirror literally pops off and the wiring is just clipped onto the mirror. 30 second change out not that i've hit my mirror on anything before.......

Ditto. I had to replace the heated mirror on my '04. A guy pulled in with a Chevy of similar height, I was backed in and he pulled in forward. On his way out he got a little close and the lip of his mirror cracked the glass on my mirror. A quick trip to the dealer and ~$20 and I had the new mirror in hand. Took me about 30 seconds and a screw driver to swap it out. The guy was nice enough to leave me a note, gave me $40 cash after I checked on the price of the mirror, and wouldn't take the change.

Sorry to hear about your situation... I will be looking into the 2011 convex mirror upgrade when they are available.. I was thinking I was being over protective of my week old baby, now I am dreading taking mine to the airport on Monday.
